Preparations before the Use of the Jaw Crusher

Before the use of the jaw crusher, it must be tested with no-load and load, and inspected by operators to prepare for producing. Let’s read the preparations before the use of the jaw crusher together below.

No-load test

1. After 2 hours of continuous operation, the temperature of the bearing should not exceed 30 ℃, and the flywheel and the sheave must run smoothly. All fasteners should be firm, not loose.

2. All friction parts have no scratches, chipping and grinding phenomena. There should not be any abnormal noise. The adjustment device of the nesting population must ensure its adjustment range.

Load test

1. After 8h of continuous operation, the temperature of jaw crusher’s bearing should not exceed 30 ℃. Besides, its maximum feed size should meet the design requirements.

2. During testing, there should not be any abnormal or significant impacting noises in the jaw crusher. There should be no obvious rocky ledge between the adjusting seat and the frame seat.

Inspections before using

1. Check the crushing cavity of the jaw crusher, and see whether there are the debris and ors in it or not. If there are, clean them up to ensure that the crusher empty starts. Check the connections of the thrust plate whether it has enough grease.

2. Check all fasteners whether they are tightened, the bolts from the top whether they are returned, gaskets whether are pressed, and the T-shaped bolts whether they are tightened, especially the guards, check them whether they are good. If there is insecurity, you should immediately remove it.

3. Check the drive belt whether it is good. If there is oil on the drive belts or pulleys, wipe them with rag.
