The speed of the eccentric shaft is one of the main parameters of the jaw crusher. The speed directly affects the production capacity, power consumption and the over-crushed materials of the product, etc. this article mainly introduces you the factors that affect the speed of the eccentric shaft and ways to know the speed of the eccentric shaft.
1. The characteristics of materials. If the jaw crusher is used for crushing hard materials, the speed of the eccentric shaft should be slow. But if it is used for crushing fragile materials, the speed should be appropriately quick.
2. The size of the equipment. For the big size jaw crusher, the speed should be reduced in order to reduce the inertial vibration and lower power consumption.
1. According to the experience, when the width of the feeding port is not more than 1200mm, the speed is 145-310 times of the width. When the width of the feeding port is more than 1200mm, the speed is 42-160 times of the width.
2. Within a certain range, jaw crusher’s productivity increases as the increase of the eccentric shaft’s speed. But if the speed of the eccentric shaft is too high, crushed materials could not be discharged timely and affects its production capacity. Therefore, in order to ensure the best working ability of the jaw crusher, we should reasonably calculate the speed of the eccentric shaft and can not increase it blindly.
